Everyone has a story!

Everyone has a story, including me, where we can recount in detail that one (or perhaps several) experience(s) we had with Christ that changed our life or at the very least, put us back on the straight and narrow. What is YOUR story? I would love to hear from you. Email your Christ-centered experience to carlosmichael@carlosmichael.com

Carlos Michael

As is true with any story there is always a beginning, a middle, and an end. While I cannot say with any accuracy when this story will end, I can tell you this, I am NOT the author. God is. My role is simply that of actor and storyteller.

My life-journey, as is true with many of us, has been peppered with sin: deceit, lies, pornography, sexual impropriety, adultery, homosexuality, divorce, idolatry, vanity, gluttony, pride, selfishness, anger, etc.

It isn't something I am proud of and am reticent to share publicly, but if in doing so opens your heart to the love and mercy that is Jesus Christ and shows you the way home, then I gladly share my testimony to whomever is open to hear it [for that reason]. I am not the focus, Christ is. I am just an actor [method or character, you decide] selected by God to play a role in His unfolding story of redemption.

As He did with Mary of Magdalen in The Chosen, Jesus called me by name and declared that I am His. He is looking to do the same for you.

Invite me to share my testimony with your parish community. It won't be easy to hear, but it may just be the message you or a loved one needs to hear, "YOU can come home again. There is a place for YOU at the Lord's table. The light is always on, and the door is always open. Not all will welcome you. Not to worry, Jesus will sort them out later. You just need to find the courage to trust the Lord and walk through that door."

The short story.

I am the second of seven children, born and raised in southern California. I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2002. After living a disordered way of life, I responded to the invitation I received during Holy Week to revert back to the faith as a practicing Roman Catholic in 2017. Since that time, I have attempted to devote my life to knowing, loving, and serving God by knowing, loving, and serving my neighbors through prayer, love, education, and social media content creation.

One last point. Probably the most important point. I try daily to love, know, and serve God by loving, knowing, and serving (quietly) my neighbors through my actions.
